Manitowoc Ultimate: VENI. VIDI. VICI.

I'm riding a little higher today due to the fact that our Manitowoc Ultimate squad beat a Sheboygan squad last night, 15-9. It was a friendly match, but it was pretty obvious that our players had a bit more experience. We jumped out to a 7-1 lead, then saw them score 4 in a row before taking the half 8-5. We basically then scored 2-for-1 in the second half to take the game. Our lone gal, Megan Molteni, played the entire game and was huge throughout.

I personally played like my old out-of-shape self. I'd cut and sprint the length of the field twice and then jog/walk for about 4 times that. I keep whispering to myself "keep running, keep running" but the fact is I'm out-of-shape and have shamefully done very little to do anything about that (other than twice-weekly Ultimate).

I did throw a sweet hammer but the receiver got a bad read and drifted the other way. I also caught the final point and therefore claim sole responsibility for the entire victory. LOOK ON MY WORKS, YE MIGHTY, AND DESPAIR.
